The FAMA/FEMSA GAC 2020 Hill Day will be held April 29-30 in Washington D.C. in conjunction with the CFSI 32nd Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Symposium and Dinner.

2020 will be a critical year for future funding of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) and SAFER programs. Fiscal Year 2021 funding for the Department of Homeland Security may continue to be contentious in the current political environment. We must remain vigilant in educating Congress on the increasing importance of priority programs that support the Fire Service.

As in previous years, participants will be assigned to a Hill Day team that will make congressional visits over the two-day period, including your own congressional delegation. The office of our GAC Sr. Adviser, Dave Gatton, will develop each team’s schedule of meetings and the necessary resource materials.

2020 Hill Day will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29th, with an orientation and legislative briefing at the Hilton Washington Hotel in the Kalorama Room. Hill Day will end on Thursday, April 30th at 4:00 p.m. with a FAMA/FEMSA GAC reception in the Kalorama Room.
